We have granted every student who has successfully completed the participated courses during this school term a Medal Award! It's so great having you all with us for the whole semester, it's so important to mark this milestone together! We have witnessed so much growth of our students from diverse perspectives, we do have observed the details, and appreciate every step!  Congratulations to all! The success is shared by all of our nearly 150 students!

2022 Scholarship Award Ceremony/2022奖学金颁奖仪式

As a great part of the celebration ceremony, we are so glad granting the "2022 Scholarship Award" to about 83 students! This honour marks a special milestone in GKK history, too.

It has taken quite much time to set up this final plan in practice, there were many rounds of meetings with discussions, debates, calibrations and optimisations, the concluded plan is reasonable and feasible. We take this very seriously and carefully, because we do care about our students in all aspects! We appreciate this special opportunity and hope that it will play a positive role in our students' learning journey.

Here are some important points to share:

The "Scholarship Award" is initiated to encourage and promote the active learning of Chinese culture and language. Basing on the affordability and effectiveness, the current plan covers the formal classes of Chinese, i.e. Grade 1 and higher graders, as well as the active and outstanding players in GKK community. We prioritise building the strong sense of honour and ceremony over the actual bonus setting.

We consider both aspects: On the one hand, award those who demonstrate positive attitude and active behaviours in the Chinese learning, and those who show promising progress or future hopes.  On the other hand, award those who demonstrate objective great results, performance, visible great outputs.

We understand the differences and diversity of our students who come from different background families, characteristic, preferences, or base points, ages, supporting, etc. In our mind, everyone who dares to start learning and still insist on the way is doing great! We have observed that every student here has been reaching good progress in the growth and progress, but might be from reflection or playing of very different perspectives. Everyone has a highlight aspect that deserves good attention.

With all that said, what we have carefully designed is hopefully, as much as possible, to discover, encourage and recognise the most obvious highlights of the students in the recent learning period, so to map a reasonable reason to award them the "Scholarship Award"! The honour is well shared by most of our valid students by a wide range of awarding categories. 

这是本次颁奖典礼重要的部分，我们为大约83位同学们颁发了奖学金！这在华文学院历史上也具备特殊的里程碑意义。

这个奖励计划的细则和实施方案经历了相当长时间的推敲，老师们经过多轮讨论、争辩、权衡、优化，综合各方面的意见，最终得到了这个合理且可行的奖励计划。我们对此非常重视和认真，因为我们非常在意和看重我们的学生们，我们希望能在小朋友们学习和成长过程中起到有效的激励和引导作用。

奖学金的主要目的是促进和鼓励中文学习及推广，基于可承担性及有效性，目前的策略是针对在校的正式中文班一年级及以上的学生，以及华文学院学习社区里活跃的有成效的学习者，奖励的方式侧重荣誉感和仪式感，而奖金其次。

我们同时兼顾两大方面，一方面奖励在中文学习上坚持努力，学习态度良好，行为积极，学习过程和进展正向的同学；另一方面激励中文学习上成效显著，结果突出，客观表现和产出优秀的同学。

我们非常尊重小朋友们的个性化和多样性，很理解和包容来自不同家庭背景、成长环境、年龄、起步基础、进展等客观的差异性。实际上，在我们心目中，所有积极参与我们中文班并认真坚持的小朋友们都是好样的！在我们的细心观察中，孩子们在家长、老师和学生共同的努力下都慢慢获得的很不错的成长和进步，然而具体体现和发挥的方面可能会很不一样。每个人都有某些亮点值得被关注和鼓励！

基于此，我们设计的方案希望从不同的角度尽可能细致地发现、鼓励和认可小朋友们近期最值得称赞的亮点，借此奖学金的荣誉给予明确的正向反馈和小奖励，通过广泛的合理的奖项设置，这个荣誉惠及了正式中文班的大部分同学们！

Cultrual Activities/文化活动

In the morning of our Open Day, we have arranged colourful cultural activities, such as handcrafts, Rubik-Cube, Calligraphy, etc. In the afternoon's show, there are also Kongfu show, Hanfu show, Guzheng(zither) performce, etc. A day with much Chinese cultural elements!

在期末开放日的上午，我们安排了丰富多彩的文化活动，比如工艺手工、魔方、书法等。在下午的舞台表演中，我们也邀请了武林功夫表演，汉服秀，古筝表演等。一天满满的中华文化要素！
